Gertie von Gerbstedt is a stunning 2 year old German Shepherd. When this black-and-tan beauty looks your way with her happy grin, your heart starts to go pitter-patter. She prances next to you on leash with her head held high and you can picture a jeweled crown sitting atop her head. On those occasions when she gets a burst of energy and charges ahead, a quick correction is all she needs and she'll fall back to your side once again. Gertie has the rambunctiousness of a playful puppy and enjoys tossing her toys around in the air. She is also quite content to snuggle by your side when you're watching your favorite TV show. If she catches a glimpse of a fast-moving object, the chase begins -- so no small dogs or kitties for this girl. When at her foster home, you'll find Gertie talking to her best friend, a calm and friendly male Lab, about her day and figuring out what shenanigans are on their agenda for the evening. Our intelligent and watchful girl loves her humans and will alert loudly to make sure all is safe.
